Stepping Stone Manor is a permanent supportive Housing First program for individuals who have had a history of chronic homelessness.

Stepping Stone Manor provides a home-like environment for residents, making them aware of their roles and responsibilities towards maintaining their own independent housing. The building consists of 29 bachelor units for individuals 18 years or older, that are transferring out of chronic homelessness as well as corrections. Stepping Stone Manor’s program model is based on a harm reduction strategy.

Stepping Stone Manor is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Stepping Stone Manor Staff consists of Caseworkers, Residential Community Builders and an Occupational Therapist. Staff work collaboratively with residents to help them achieve their goals as well as develop the skills to regain their independence and maintain their housing. In addition, Stepping Stone Manor staff work with external community resources such as health services, counselling as well as employment and social support programs to provide an extensive support network for individuals living at Stepping Stone Manor.

The program also offers weekly activities to promote community reintegration through the development of healthy relationships and engagement within the community.
